3. Did the sales rep say you could use the extra points to rent out your timeshare while also guaranteeing that your rental income will offset maintenance and/or the costs of your ownership?
4. Did the sales rep ever ask you to sign a paper or give your SSN so they could pull up your account, and you later found out they pulled your credit or opened a credit card without your consent?
5. Did the sales rep tell you the timeshare is considered real estate that would increase in value over the years and your deed or points could potentially be sold at a later date for profit? Did they ever mention the secondary market where you can buy points for pennies on the dollar?
6. Did your sales rep ever make you feel that this would be a great "investment" for your family and that you could leave these amazing experiences to your children?
7. Has a sales rep mentioned that they will be your personal coordinator and will aid in any issues you have such as booking reservations or renting, but when you reached out, they never responded?
8. Were you ever made to feel you were "deeded" in the wrong place and moving to a new location would benefit you with lower maintenance, interest, or better priority?
9. Were you ever told that you could get your balance refinanced with your local bank or credit union for a lower rate? Were you ever denied when trying?
10. Were you told that the number of days you had to cancel your contract and get a full refund? Have you ever sent in your cancelation letter, but the developer said it was too late to honor it?
11. Did the sales rep ever coach you to omit the real reasons you were buying additional points? (i.e. renting, cheaper maintenance, better priority)
12. Were you ever told that they would use your equity to trade in to another property, only to find out later that you now have two separate contracts with two mortgages or maintenance fees?
